Accommodation is possible on the first day of rental, depending on the tenancy period which you have selected. In order to settle outstanding formalities, you must report during office hours, that is 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Keys can be collected around the clock at the reception.
Is it possible to see the room and the entire facility prior to signing the agreement?
Of course. Our team will be happy to show you around the dorm and answer all your questions. However, you need to make an appointment in advance.
Attention. During construction works, possibility of sightseeing is limited.
Can I change my room?
Yes. However, the change can only be made locally by selected people working in the office or reception if we still have available places.
Can I book a room with a specific person (even of a different gender)?
Of course. When booking a place in a double room, tick the box: I want to book with another person (in the case of a three-person room, with a second and third person). You will be asked to enter their e-mail address or mobile phone number; they will receive a booking code to be used during their own reservation. Thanks to this code, the person will be assigned to your room. The code is valid for 3 days, that is, the person must make a reservation before that time.
How is the automatic allocation to rooms being made?
Allocation to rooms is based on the selection of a co-inhabitant in terms of gender compliance, length of registration and university.
Can I choose my room in the dormitory?
When making the reservation, you will be asked to choose your preferred dorm, floor and room type. The selected place will meet your criteria, but the specific room will be assigned by default. You will receive the final confirmation of your room number upon your arrival.
When will I receive confirmation of reservation in the dormitory?
At the time of online payment, a confirmation email will be sent to your e-mail address, with information about further steps.
In case of payment via traditional bank transfer, we will contact you within three days of receiving your payment to our account and pass you the next steps.
What documents are needed?
Passport or ID card and letter regarding admission to university or student ID, if you are already studying.
How often do I have to make payments?
You can pay monthly until the 10th of a given month or one time in advance for the whole period of tenancy.
How can you pay for the room?
In Unibase, you can settle online payments via credit card, e-transfers or traditional transfer. You can also pay via credit card or debit card on site.
How can you make a reservation?

Who can live in Unibase?
The Unibase dormitory is open to adults, who are studying or will be studying at one of Cracow's
universities and will complete the necessary formalities related to renting a dormitory.
Minors are allowed to live in the dormitory only with the indication of a legal guardian and upon
presentation of documents of admission to one of the Cracow universities, completing the
necessary formalities related to rental.
Who signs the lease agreement?
The lease agreement is signed by a person of legal age who wants to live in the dormitory.
The contract is signed by a legal guardian on behalf of a minor.
Can I sub-let my room during my absence?
No. It is not allowed to sub-let to third parties.
Can I move out earlier?
Yes. However, according to the rental agreement, you are required to pay the rent and additional fees for the entire rental period.
What is included in the room price?

Is a deposit required and will I recover it after moving out?
When finalizing the booking, we require a deposit of one month’s rent. The deposit is retained for the entire rental period of the lease. When returning the room, we check the condition and sign the receipt report. If we do not find any damage, we will refund you the full amount within 4 weeks of the end of the lease. If the room condition is not in line with the initial one, the next steps may include renovation and modernization of the equipment and possibly a refund of the deposit.
Can I terminate a tenancy agreement?
No. The agreement is signed for a definite period of time, i.e., for a period of 5 or 12 months or possibly for an individually determined time. If an unforeseen situation occurs, that will prevent you from further rental, we will consider your request individually.
For what period is the lease agreement signed?
In the Unibase dorm, we give you the choice of 4 rental periods: Winter semester - 5 months (15/09 - 14/02 next year), Summer semester - 5 months (15/02 - 15/07 next year), Academic year - 10 months (15/09 – 15/07 next year), Whole year - 12 months (01/09 – 31/08). From now until 31/08 (dates set individually) All-year students are given priority.
Can I decorate a room, for example with pictures on the walls?
The room can not be disturbed by driving or screwing in various elements. The exception is sticking posters, photos using special tapes, plasticine that do not leave marks after removal. If you break the wall structure, you will have to bear the cost of the repair.
What should I do if something breaks down in the room or common areas?
Immediately inform the administration of the dorm. Do not repair anything on your own.
What should I do if there are any problems at Unibase?
During office hours (08:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) you can go to an employee or call. In the remaining hours, please contact the security guard at the reception and he will take the appropriate steps.
Is it allowed to return to the dormitory at any time?
Yes. The dormitory doors are closed, but you will have a card that will allow to open it at any time. There will be round-the-clock security in the dormitory, which is why the security guard can open the door at night.
Is it allowed to organize parties in the dormitories?
No. We care about the comfort of life of our residents and we want to respect their intimacy. Cracow is a city with the largest number of bars and clubs, so it is not difficult to find the perfect place to party outside the dormitory.
There is a total ban on possession and use of illegal drugs.
Can I keep my pet in the dormitory?
Unfortunately, we do not agree to pets in Unibase dorms.
Is it allowed to drink alcohol in the dormitory?
In the common parts of Unibase dormitories, it is not allowed to drink alcohol. An exception are events organized by the Unibase team.
Is smoking allowed in the dormitory?
There is a strict non-smoking policy throughout the Unibase building. Smoking is only allowed outside.
Do I have to pay for cleaning and washing?
You are responsible for cleaning your own room. Every week, however, bathrooms and floors in your room will be cleaned and this is included in the price.
Is there silence on the premises obligatory in the dormitory?
All residents are obliged to observe the quiet hours of 22:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. every day.
Can I receive visitors in the Unibase dormitory?
Yes, however, you are responsible for the behavior of your guests.
Can I bring my own furniture?
No. The rooms are fully equipped with functional furniture, that allow for comfortable living and use.
What should I bring to the dorm, and what does Unibase provide?
Unibase provides bed linen, household linen and towels for every inhabitant.
You need to take care of kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery and your private belongings. Our team can organize the purchase of kitchen accessories, but the costs are on your end.
